Active rural communities in providing and monitoring homecare services - Increasing access to social-medical services for elderly in 5 rural communities

In Socio-medical services

Within the project, 48 people participated in a series of trainings in homecare services management in 5 rural communities. We provided social and medical homecare services for 553 beneficiaries. Also, 14 people, local association leaders and nurses participated in a training regarding organizational development of local teams through presenting the organizational and practical homecare issues faced in Belgium. Another 21 people, homecare NGO leaders and representatives of local City Halls took part in the training “Contracting homecare services”. We have developed 5 service plans involving citizens in 5 of the pilot communities. In addition, 5 community organizations have been institutionally developed by drawing up and submitting licensing requests to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection for the provided social services.
